11:38 AM ET 03.10 | The clock is ticking quickly with the free-agent market set to open on Tuesday afternoon, but the Giants haven???t given up hope of signing their starting tight end. It appears they are making a late ??? and possibly last ??? push to re-sign Martellus Bennett before the free agent signing period begins. The two sides have talked in the last few days, according to a source, and plan to talk more before the deadline. At the moment, though, there???s no indication that an agreement is close. ???I am and will continue communicating with the Giants,??? Bennett???s agent, Kennard McGuire, wrote in an email to the Daily News on Saturday. ???Martellus is still in New York, and we are taking it one day at a time.???

They aren't pushing that hard.

Million dollar body, ten cent brain.

Having seen him play I'm OK with that decision. It's good for at least 3 dropped passes, 6 missed blocks and numerous blown routes in the two Dallas games.

I think people are starting to get past the point of waiting for Martellus to 'get it.' He was drafted in 2008 and still hasn't become the consistent player either Dallas or NY wanted him to be.

Bennett played well for NY. People commenting who only seen him play with Dallas

He had a very good year and our Giant GM doesn't like to give away the bosses money, hopefully he will get the deal done!
