08:23 AM ET 03.11 | Big Ten basketball fans were given quite a gift Sunday in a game that featured a dramatic one-point Indiana win and a bit of drama on the side. Indiana coach Tom Crean exchanged words with Michigan assistant Jeff Meyer after Sunday's dramatic 72-71 victory at the Crisler Center and had to be restrained by a staff member before walking away with a smirk. So what happened? "I'm not talking about any of that," Crean said. "Ask him." Michigan officials did not make Meyer available for comment. But it should be noted that Meyer is a former Indiana assistant who worked under Kelvin Sampson from 2006-08 -- an era best remembered for NCAA violations. ... And it might be why Crean yelled "You helped wreck our program!" at Meyer.

Tom Cryan is a bum....this guy cries non-stop, and this incident is just another showing he lacks class, too.

Love it! Michigan choked, and I.U.'s Zeller showed them the door. Crean knew exactly what he was going to say, and who he was going to say it to, as I.U. claimed the Big Ten title!

Crean has absolutely no class whatsoever. Cutting down the nets after a loss, telling players to flop at any opportunity and now this. Class act

Crean, you have one of the best teams this year. How did anyone wreck your program, other than your ignorant ranting...

March 11, 2013  04:16 PM ET

You nay sayers must be upset because your favorite team's coach doesn't stand up for your program and players like Crean does.
While it is true about the former assistant, TC probably should have just smiled and shook his hand. However after just winning a huge game in the way that it all came down at the end, Crean's competitive spirit came through and he took the opportunity for a little verbal jab. He didn't say anything that members of Hoosier Nation thought about saying...TC just had the opportunity to do so.

Not mentioned in the story is that Meyer was cleared of any wrong doing by the NCAA.
