Avs coaches interested in BU job

08:27 AM ET 03.11 | One of the most prestigious jobs in the NCAA is now open, as Jack Parker leaves a significant void behind the bench at Boston University. This is seismic news in the college hockey world, and it probably perked up the ears of Avalanche coach Joe Sacco and assistant coach David Quinn as well. Sacco and Quinn are Terriers alumni, after all, who both played under Parker -- Sacco from 1987-90 and Quinn from 1984-87. They're both native New Englanders, Sacco from Massachusetts and Quinn from Rhode Island. ... [It] would only be human nature if either Sacco or Quinn had interest in that job. Come to think of it, the Avs' other assistant coach, Tim Army, probably would too.

I don't mind this...beats the heck out of O'Reilly threads. At least Sacco...and BU for that matter....I've heard of.

We went from pointless Avs threads to saturation O'Reilly coverage to pointless Avs coaches taking NCAA jobs threads. On the other hand, Tim Army is an awesome frickin name.

Cheer up, DL! Nowhere to go now but up ... unless .... they decide to resurrect Scott Gomez threads.

They could apply in Vancouver?

They don't seem too interested in the Avs coaching job, so this might be true.

I'm surprised we didn't get a thread when he scored a goal last week.

Just thought it was funny he criticized the refs a few hours before game time; then promptly got 2 penalties which the Rag's scored on (Brian boyle no less)
