01:42 PM ET 03.11 | The Seattle Seahawks have traded for disgruntled Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin. In return, the Vikings will receive a first-round pick in April's NFL Draft, plus a mid-round and seventh-round pick next year. Harvin was unhappy in Minnesota, and he had made it known that he wanted to move on from the team. Since the Vikings selected him with the 22nd-overall pick of the 2009 draft, Harvin has had off-field issues. He's dealt with severe migraine headaches and has appeared to be displeased with his situation with the Vikings for some time. However, has been a solid threat in the passing and return games. Harvin totaled 3,302 yards and 20 receiving touchdowns with Minnesota, and he averaged 27.9 yards per kickoff return, taking five back for scores.

I'm surprised they were able to get a 1st round pick for him!
He hasn't stayed healthy for a full season in 2 years!

I like the fit, but a 1st rounder is too much, even a low one

Maybe the Hawks don't see much talent in this years first 32 picks. If healthy, Harvin can give opposing defenses a headache.

Harvin has a history of migraine headaches. He also gave Vikings ownership headaches.

Still young and very talented...will give them a boost at WR and KR/PR as Leon Washington is getting up there in age

I'm very happy about this except for the 1st round pick. The cost seems a bit high. The Hawks had the 25th pick, though, and Harvin's a better bet than any receivers that'll be on the board at 25, so maybe it's a smart move. I think there's a good chance it is, since I would not have made that move and I am decidedly unqualified for the GM job.

You should be excited..draft picks are cool if used right and your GM certainly seems to be more than capable but at the same time, why not take a known commodity right now who is still in his prime? Excellent move..versatile player who can line up all over the field on offense.

HUGE pickup for Seattle.
I'm surprised Minnesota would even consider trading Harvin to one of the NFC's strongest teams. WR was one of the few obvious weaknesses on Seattle and somehow they snagged one of the NFL's best.
Anybody see what Seattle had to give up for Harvin?

Ok, a first rounder. That answers my question.
Seems like a bargain for Seattle. If Harvin was in this year's draft he'd easily be a top five pick.

I guess adding a true weapon for a first rounder is OK... especially for this team.
But it's a little steep - especially for a guy that's ALWAYS complaining about the money.

I think a first rounder is way too much.

Wilson. Lynch. Harvin. The 'Hawks offense is starting to look versatile and fearsome.

Definitely.
Scariest part is Lynch is the old man of the trio and he himself is just 26.
People better get used to the Seahawks running **** for the next 5 plus years.
