07:13 PM ET 03.11 | Jim Mastro is currently an assistant at Washington State, but he was one of the coaches who helped Chris Ault develop the pistol offense at Nevada. Mastro has been approached this offseason by several NFL teams looking for help with defending the scheme, but Mastro declined, saying he wouldn't help anyone as long as former Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick is in the NFL. Mastro was a coach for the Wolf Pack while Kaepernick was the quarterback there.

NFL teams fell in love with drop back passing and failed to innovate for many years. Their games became cookie-cutter boring for the most part. Then along comes Kaepernick and Wilson and the NFL gets interesting again.
