08:02 AM ET 03.12 | With the acquisition of David Garrard, Gang Green's QB stable swelled -- at least for now. Tim Tebow remains on the Jets roster, and new offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg is planning like he will be in the fall. Mornhinweg said he spoke to Tebow and has begun coming up with ideas of how to utilize him. "We had a long discussion," Mornhinweg said in a conference call Monday. ... "If he's on this football team, which he is right now, then I would do it a certain way and try to utilize all our players that would help us win a football game." Tebow is expected to be released before the end of the month. The Jets could trade the quarterback as early as [Tuesday] when the league year starts.

"...try to utilize all our players that would help us win a football game." That may be all you win- "A" football game.

It would be the ultimate irony for the Jets if after all the posturing, Tebow is on the roster at the start of the season and Revis isn't.

Wish I could have listened in on that phone call; " Hey Timmy, this is Marty, IF you are still on the team when the season starts this is how I might use you." What an opening line that is.

I wonder if NFL teams would be more accepting of Tebow if he didn't wear his medieval beliefs on his sleeve and eye paint.

I think all the one hoppers to wide open receivers on the sidelines has something to do with a lack of acceptance as well.

No doubt. That game against Miami 2 years ago probably scared everyone off but I'm wondering if there is something else about this guy that no one seems to want him on the team. Not just as a QB, we all know he can't play the position but as a fullback/H-back or something along those lines.

As much as they beefed him up last year, they should make him a LB.

This clown has more T&R threads than NFL plays in his career. Why is everyone so fascinated with him?

Weren't there stories going around last season that he refused to play the running back position?
I think it'd be neat to put him in with the regular QB, let him make 3 or 4 passes per game, maybe 6-10 rushes, or block.

He may be on the team right now, but not for long is all Mornhinweg needed to say.
Tim, you would have thought by now that Jesus would have hit you over the head with a divine mallet or sent some messenger from heaven to wake you up to the notion that you are not going to be a QB in the NFL.
If Tebow wants to play in the NFL it will be as a TE/FB.

I think the only play Mornhinweg designs to Tebow is a benchwarming play. I imagine he'll have a similar plan for Sanchez.

All Mornhinweg need to say is; I have been helping Tim pack his bags.
For a person that proclaims to be so in touch with Jesus, how can Tebow miss the blind truth staring him in the face. Tebow is not NFL QB material. If Tim goes to any other team it will be as a TE/ FB. A good offensive coordinator would probably find plays in which Tebow could have the option to throw the ball occasionally.

What blows my mind is Tebow outplayed guys like Steve Young during his first 2 Years, yes ? Yes they said the same thing about Steve Young, you know that Hall of Fame Lefthanded quarterback who would never make it in THE NFL. ??Steve Young that's pretty heavy! By the way the Team that originally drafted Steve Young, traded him as well after his second year, who do you think is Smarter, The Tampa Bay Bucs or The San Francisco Giants, oh one more thing, ??the Bucs got there perfect pocket passing Quarterback, Vinny Teserverde, let's see who would I rather have Vinny, or Steve? One more thing it took Steve Young 7 Years to develop, should you give Tebow similar time he just might surprise all of us! Tebow won more games, thru more touchdowns and won a game in the playoffs, Young sat and watched. The fact of the matter is Tebow might never get a chance to prove himself, but nobody can take away his accomplishments.
