08:12 AM ET 03.12 | Alex Rodriguez's extended offseason took another hit Monday, this one reportedly from a family member. Through an anonymous source, I have learned that there is a pending lawsuit in Florida against Alex Rodriguez, filed by his cousin Yuri Sucart. According to a source close to the case, Rodriguez has turned down a proposed settlement by Sucart and the case appears to be headed for trial where Mr. Sucart is seeking $5 million in damages. This is an MLB Nation exclusive and a developing story, so stay tuned for updates as I become aware of them. UPDATE: The lawsuit filed by Yuri Sucart is for libel, defamation of character, fraud and dues owed.
