Sophomore locking down QB job at BYU

08:15 AM ET 03.12 | This spring, senior Jason Munns, junior college transfer Christian Stewart and -- on Monday -- sophomore Ammon Olsen have all taken turns at quarterback for BYU's second offensive unit. Every day that the media has been allowed to watch practice, however, the same guy was with the first team. That's sophomore Taysom Hill. It is getting kind of obvious that Hill has a leg up in the battle to be the starting quarterback for BYU, but offensive coordinator Robert Anae said it is still too early to say anybody had edged ahead after four practices. Hill "is running with the first team. We haven't named a starter yet, but he is running a lot of reps with the first team and doing a really good job. I am really pleased," Anae said.

With a consistent offense last year, would have been a really good team.

Get thee to a conference! They would make a nice add to the Big 12 if they could work out the not playing any sports on Sunday thing.

Naw, don't think Big 12 wants to expand that far west, adding West Va was a bit of a joke...mostly for them, all that travel, yikes! And mostly for the non-football programs since they tend to play more games and travel more.
