08:23 AM ET 03.12 | Zdeno Chara returned to Ottawa again Monday night, something that likely lost its novelty some time ago, and he did so with a Stanley Cup to his credit and his eyes on another -- even if the season has already been a whirlwind. No one, it seems, has time to pause and reflect in this busy NHL season. How else to explain Chara not knowing he was about to appear in his 500th game as a Bruin. ... A Norris Trophy winner, in waiting. "For me, is it tonight?" Chara said to a reporter who mentioned the milestone, his face suddenly aglow. "Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, it's been that many? I had no idea. "What can I say," Chara said. "I enjoy this league, it's a very humbling game and I try to work extremely hard every game."

Yeah, right. He was really kicking petoot as he stood around like a befuddled lummox on the 2 Ottawa goals. Especially the 2nd one where he made the perfect screen on Rask.
He's lucky he plays on an otherwise solid team or he'd have cost them that game. The rest sucked it up and prevailed.

I understand that there's sweet-f-all going on in Ottawa...but I don,t think it's necessary to run a story about 'the one that got away' every time he comes to town. They're broken up. It's over. Sheesh...the Ottawa Citizen sounds like my EX.
