01:26 PM ET 03.12 | Few expect the San Francisco 49ers to be able to re-sign safety Dashon Goldson, but people around the league are predicting the 49ers will make a run at another big name free agent safety, Ed Reed, according to Adam Schefter. If Reed lands in San Francisco it will mark the second player from the Super Bowl champion Ravens to join the 49ers this offseason as San Francisco acquired Anquan Boldin on Monday.

You get the feeling the Harbaughs are watching the Super Bowl tape and saying 'you know, that guy is pretty good.'

Seattle is not sitting still, so the 49ers better not either.

I get the feeling baby brother won't be showing up at moms for Thanksgiving dinner if "HE'S going to be there" - Throw a fit, stomp around mom's living room a few times grumbling, knocking things off the end table, kicking the dog .... "WHY DID HE HAVE TO GRIN LIKE THAT???"

A sixth round pick for Boldin. How about a 5h rounder for Reed. Sounds fair to 49er fans.

Getting Ed is a very good look for them if not able to resign Golson kid. Moves like these are what would keep them in the Superbowl conversation.

Big brother feels bad that baby brother didn't win the SB so he's going to gift him a few key pieces that might get him over the hump.

As a Seahawks fan I feel like I should be hoping the Niners really make some bad choices here, but I'm just looking forward to the rivalry. It's really shaping up to be intense for years. It's been a long time since the Hawks had a real rivalry. The Raiders games in the 80s were bloodbaths. That was fun.
