02:05 PM ET 03.12 | New York Jets DT Sione Pouha has been released. Pouha is a fan favorite, but he is aging and struggled with back injuries last year. Cutting him will save the team approximately $3.8 million in salary cap space.

The life of a nose tackle. Had to look him up. He played inevery game for them for 5 years, got old and that is that. But before any tears are shed, they gave him a new contract last year that guaranteed him $9.5 million on a three year deal. I say he did well for himself..

At least the man got paid! Starting NG for the past 5 yrs is nothing to sneeze at. Got a feeling he'll find another team at a lower contract.

solid nose tackle from what ive seen. hell get another crack to see if the one weak year (2012) was a sign of the team rather than the player. not as nimble, but very similar production to vince wilfork. 'sides the two pick 2011 season course.
