02:40 PM ET 03.12 | Quarterback Allan Bridgford announced on his twitter page that he's planning on transferring away from Cal. The senior was told by the new Cal coaching staff that he'd be given fewer reps in spring practice, and that he wouldn't really have a chance to start in 2013. Bridgford started three games for the Bears in 2012 in place of Zach Maynard, but apparently won't have a chance to start going forward. Bridgford is scheduled to graduate this spring, so he can transfer and play another year if he enrolls as a graduate student elsewhere. He could potentially be granted a sixth year of eligibility due to a 2010 shoulder injury.
