04:27 PM ET 03.12 | Buffalo Sabres forward Tyler Ennis is considered day-to-day after being hit from behind by Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds. Ennis sustained the hit during Sunday night???s game against Philadelphia when Simmonds hit him from behind. No penalty was called on the play. Interim head coach Ron Rolston announced that Ennis had not suffered a concussion on the play but did require stitches. It???s unclear when Ennis could potentially return. With Ennis out of the lineup, it is expected that Jochen Hecht will take over on the second line with Steve Ott and Nathan Gerbe. The Sabres will be holding an optional skate on Tuesday, so line combinations likely won't be known until pre-game warm-ups.
