05:03 PM ET 03.12 | Dwight Howard and the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, and the former Magic center said that it's all business. Well, sort of. On Sunday, Howard said he'd be emotional in his return to Orlando, where winning turned sour last year and resulted in his trade to the Lakers. During Tuesday morning's shootaround, Howard said he'd visited his favorite Waffle House, checked out his old house and was feeling quite normal. He's trying to put the darker days of his last season with the Magic in the past. "All that stuff is over with now," Howard told ESPN Los Angeles. "Today is a new day. Whatever happened in the past, I'm going to leave it behind me. Like I said, I have nothing but love for the fans here. They treated me well. It didn't end right. It didn't end the way we all wanted it to end, but I'm in a better place and everybody has to move on."

Exactly. "I'm in a better place.". He can't help putting his foot in his mouth.

I think the Magic fans are going to roast him tonight. But he won't be seeing them again until next year, so one night isn't that big of a deal.

Howard just can't win with the media/fans. Nothing wrong with what he said here. He showed loved to the fans of Orlando in what he said. He is happy where he is and that's good. Maybe everyone else should just move on like he said.

Maybe he should just shut up and play ball.

Too bad it took a return to Orlando for Howard to finally find some motivation. The rest of the Lakers have been waiting for that all season.

Wow and he did it against the powerhouse Magic. I'm sure it was difficult for him to score against a team with little to no frontcourt. The lakers have done well against the bobcats too.

Howard has been leading the league in rebounding and in the top 5 in shot blocking all season. His return to form as of late has less to do with a lack of motivation and more to do with him finally getting healthy and in shape.

The Magic may not be a powerhouse, but Vucevic is a pretty good young center who is a double double nearly every night.

Decent young center vs best center in the league on a team already filled with superstars.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Bro.

This is a story... of one man's struggle... to overcome impossible odds. To join with 3 other superstars in a quest for easier championships. This is the inspiring story of their struggle, their journey to find a "better place". When nobody else thought they could succeed with just four superstars on the team, somehow, someway.... they persevered. This will be the greatest sports story ever told. The little super team that could.
