08:01 AM ET 03.13 | Money always has something to say, of course, but a great recruiter goes a long way in landing free agents, too. Jerry Jones probably has the most to sell and does as good as anyone in the NFL. Jerry is the NFL's best marketer and does everything BIG! He can be charming, loose and personable. When he's motivated he's hard to beat. Saints GM Mickey Loomis and HC Sean Peyton are probably as good a team as any when selling their organization to free agents. ... The Packers are also seasoned recruiters. ... They also play on Sunday and Monday nights more than any other NFL team. Both Jim and John Harbaugh are great recruiters. Once they get in front of you they are hard guys to say "NO" to.

What's not to like? A big salary, hot cheerleaders and every January off.

But they can always say neeeey.

Lets be real, it is the guy with the most cash to throw around. If a player was in to discounts, he would be with his former team.

He might have the most to sell and be a good recruiter...big problem is that he doesn't know what he's doing as the GM. He's obvioulsy recruiting the wrong guys. As a business, Jones & his Dallas Cowboys are extremely successful...as a football team...average.

That's all well and good but what has it gotten him again? Oh yeah, nothing.

Saban does spend money while recruiting but usually it's from posting bail.

This year Dallas has no cap space so they are pretty much out of the FA market. They have 6 Draft Choices. So as great of a recruiter Jones may be, this year he is hog tied.

I guess CNNSI was obligated to do this story, after leaving the Dallas Cowboys off of the "Best run organizations" article written yesterday. Got it.

The cost of doing business. All deductible tax write offs. Ya don't hire a posse by going to the local church. ya go to the long branch saloon and throw down some coin.

And next year - Dallas has no salary cap space so they will once again be pretty much out of the FA market.

Notice a trend here?

Yeah, but you've gotta admire the consistency.
