08:12 AM ET 03.13 | Will Carmelo Anthony play Wednesday against the Nuggets in Denver? Of course he'll play at the Pepsi Center against his old team, because this is where it all started. But how much? How well? That's all up in the air. But here's the distressing takeaway from Tuesday: The way he and Mike Woodson talked after practice, it will be a major surprise if Anthony even tries to play Thursday night in Portland. If Anthony can't go in the second game of a back-to-back set of games, then it seems like there's big trouble with that knee. Despite Anthony saying the injury isn't too serious, he also has admitted on the trip that he has yet to get a final determination from doctors on the exact nature of the problem.

The "real" season starts in the playoffs. Best to preserve your best players for the playoffs if injured.

Exactly.

There is NOTHING that melo can accomplish anymore in the regular season
He will be judged based on his playoff performance....on the TEAMS playoff performance

So sit, rest....I don't care which......but he had better be focused on being as healthy as he can come playoff day 1

Yep. Hope the Knicks do the right thing with resting/preserving their stars for the playoffs. Would be nice to see NY make a deep run in the playoffs...

Sooooo, playing 30+ minutes in a game decided by 30 is not a good gameplan??

Apparently, melo has refused to have the knee drained and get a shot
he says he doesn't like needles.....
Yet he's tatted all over the place

I'm convinced this is the year they can make it to the 2nd round....at least. Maybe, even the ECF.

My Knicks suck. I'm hoping they don't get bounced in the first round but I wouldn't be surprised.

Don't mention his name or he will appear. He's like a broken down Candyman.
