08:19 AM ET 03.13 | The competition begins Saturday for three starting spots on Alabama's offensive line, one of which is left guard. Does Arie Kouandjio have his hopes set on following former All-American Chance Warmack at that position? "Yes, sir. Of course I do," Kouandjio said. "Chance is a good friend of mine. I'd be honored if I were able to fill his spot when he moves on to the next level." Of course, there's an ulterior motive. Replacing Warmack would mean Kouandjio would be playing next to his brother, Cyrus, the Crimson Tide's returning starter and emerging star at left tackle. "It'd be great," Arie said on media day, two days Alabama defeated Notre Dame 42-14 in the BCS Championship Game in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Bama is too good. No need to play the season this year. Just give 'em the Crystal Football.

Arie is older than his brother but has been hampered by a knee injury. Plus, his overall physicality is not as good as his brother's, but I expect him to play very well, if he wins the starting position.

That Mayock guy said that Cyrus may be a #1 overall pick when he leaves for the draft (which will probably happen after this coming season).

JK, I hereby notify you that you have been challenged to a duel, by yours truly, on the Gators thread. You are duty bound to respond, sir.
