08:24 AM ET 03.13 | Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov just made this a very important week in Philadelphia. [Bryzgalov] said the Flyers are in must-win situations when they face New Jersey on Wednesday and Friday. The Devils are four points ahead of the Flyers and have a game in hand. "You win both games, and you tied with them and you have a good chance to continue to battle for the playoffs," he said after Tuesday's practice in Voorees, N.J. "You lose both games, you done. You done. That's it. This is it. This is probably reality. You'd be eight points behind ... and not many games to catch up. It would be very, very difficult. It's not going to [depend] on you (if you lose two), it's going to depend more on other teams than you. That's the importance of these games."

For a change, that actually makes sense...

Makes perfect sense. Oates ought to invite him to speak to the Caps. Although nothing could be said by anyone to make them see reality. They are in fact done this year and have been for a while. Since January 19th it appears.

LETS GO LEIGHTON!

maybe Oates could channel his inner Boudreau and just swear repeatedly. Maybe then the players would find their legs.

The Jets have more points than the Flyers...lol.

That's because the Jets have won more and the Flyers have lost more. :-)

They weren't done, but they needed the 4 points vs. the Canes. Now they the only chance they have is to go on about a 8-10 game unbeaten streak. Not very likely for this team.

They still need to keep Oates around and find some guys in the off-season that can play his system.

If Bry starts seeing Bears it won't matter anyway....

I agree with you about Oates. Their problems are in the locker room.............not on the coaching staff. About the only thing I've enjoyed this season so far is that Bruce looks like he's having fun again in Anaheim.
