08:24 AM ET 03.13 | For his part, Corey Perry has denied ill intent. Bad intentions or not, [Perry's] violent hit on Minnesota rookie Jason Zucker will call the Ducks' star winger to the NHL carpet. Perry could face the possibility of a lengthy suspension with his late broadside hit that knocked Zucker out of the game four minutes into the second period of the Ducks' 2-1 victory over the Wild. TSN hockey analyst Bob McKenzie reported through his Twitter account that Perry is slated to have a telephone hearing with league officials Wednesday morning. The Ducks play in Dallas on Thursday so a decision figures to come down before then. Perry said that he sent an apology to Zucker through the Wild's locker room attendant and acknowledged that a suspension could be in the offing.

Unlike the elbow he gave Giroux back in the day, at least he kept his elbow down this time.

I'd feel bad, but we're all supposed to hate Minnesota. Right?

my thoughts exactly. Was a pretty dirty hit, but my mood is tempered by the fact that it was vs the Wild.

Really? I'm still waiting for the Panthers'. Outshot the Bolts 39-13, lost 3-2.

You've got three options...Lanny McDonald in OT, Nikolai Borschevsky in OT or Gilmour in OT...take your pick!

Woof! AT this point they should just fold for the season and try again next year.

3 games max IMO. That's the equivalent of 6 in a regular season. Could be less. BB said he didn't mean it.

Well if he didnt mean it and gave him an apology in a letter, then yeah, it makes it all better.

Well, he did have his fingers crossed when he sent the letter. And he wrote in crayon. But you don't think he was sincere? :-)

But being serious for a minute I do think he'll get a suspension. No more than 3 games IMO though. We should know very soon.
