Tortorella rips into Rangers

08:25 AM ET 03.13 | Occasionally, a coach will tip his hat to the opposition in defeat -- something John Tortorella specifically avoided after a 3-1 loss to Buffalo on Tuesday. "I couldn't be more disgusted and disappointed with the way our top guys played, with the way we handled ourselves through it," Tortorella said. "That team was ripe to be beaten and we simply did not play the way we're supposed to play." With five minor penalties and few sparks of sustained pressure, the good feeling of the Rangers' (13-10-2) five wins in the past six games has dissipated. ... "We suck, and we suck at a time we can't suck," he said. "So we have to get it straightened out. I don't know what else to tell you."

Hey Henry Winkler, it's getting old buddy...if the team was ripe to be beaten and you did not play the way you were supposed to play, how come you didn't have your team up for the game?

How does this tool still have a job? It's quite clear nobody is responding.

"Blame everyone else because i'm great" syndrome, it's called. We had a classic case in these parts for about 4 years. Can't quite remember his name, but man it was sad.

Revenge of the Leafs on you last night DL as Wellfed and the Kazakh enjoyed themselves...on a brighter note, Kessel potted a couple and improve his plus minus on the year.

That was my thought exactly. The two former guys i've always hated encountering are Wellfed and Raycroft.

Stay Puft even threw a punch!

Who did Kessel try to punch, one of the ice girls?

As for your first comment, that's a darn good question.

I think the fat lady may have entered MSG.

I did not see the final stats; but last I looked the top line was -2 and Girardi and McD. had an awful awful game.

The end is near Torts, the end is near.

O.k. To the flip side Danny, let's suppose he gets canned. Who does Sather bring in at this point in a shortened season? Ron Wilson? Ted Nolan? Scotty Bowman?
