09:14 AM ET 03.13 | The New York Jets were actively shopping star cornerback Darrelle Revis and they were involved in discussions with two potential trade partners. One of the teams in discussions with New York was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with the Philadelphia Eagles also mentioned as a team interested in Revis. However, don't consider the Eagles as an option any more. According to reports, the Eagles have pulled out of Revis trade talks. Philadelphia apparently pulled out of the trade talks with the Jets because of a growing speculation around the league that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ready to send multiple picks New York's way for the shutdown corner.

This report is totally false the Eagles were never interested in Revis he's price was too high and the possiblity of him holding out just did not sit well the the Eagles. THEY WERE NEVER INTERESTED AS REPORTED BY SAL PALINTONIO 3 DAYS AGO.

I think that's simply a negotiating tactic. I remind you that the Eagles pulled out of the Chip Kelly negotiations too. They pull out, Tampa bay lowers it's offers because there's no longer any competition and POW! Besides. TB should be able to find a great corner at # 13, one who is younger and has not been injured.

Eagles pulling out. A frustrated Revis couldn't be reached for comment. (With apologies to Chevy Chase.)
