Cardinals sign Mendenhall to one-year deal

03:13 PM ET 03.13 | The Arizona Cardinals signed free agent running back Rashard Mendenhall to a one-year contract on Wednesday. Mendenhall rushed for 182 yards during his final season in Pittsburgh and will now attempt to jump start his career with the Cardinals. A former first-round pick, Mendenhall has a history of success, including two 1,000-yard seasons. He tore his ACL at the end of the 2011 season which caused him to miss the first five games of last year. He went on to play six games in 2012 with four starts.
