04:47 PM ET 03.13 | Montreal Canadiens prospect Blake Geoffrion is considering retirement due to issues with his head, according to an announcement by the team on Wednesday afternoon. It was originally reported by John Buccigross of ESPN that Geoffrion had retired from professional hockey. Four months ago, he fell on his head after a serious hit and sustained a fractured skull. However, Buccigross was inaccurate, as Geoffrion???s father clarified that Blake had merely informed the Canadiens that he was considering it. Apparently, Blake???s situation is not improving and he has had difficulty skating. He is only 25-years-old and appears to be aware of the long-term damage that could occur from playing again.
