04:50 PM ET 03.13 | New York Islanders forward Michael Grabner has been placed on injured reserve, according to an announcement by the team on Wednesday morning. Grabner likely sustained an upper-body injury during the Islanders??? 6-1 loss at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday. As of this time, it is unclear when specifically Grabner was injured. However, it ultimately means he won???t be playing soon regardless. It is believed Grabner will require about 10 days to recover. In 26 games this season, the 25-year-old forward has registered 10 goals and three assists, as well as six penalty minutes.
