04:16 PM ET 03.14 | After leaving the second half of the Knicks 117-94 loss to the Nuggets on Wednesday in obvious discomfort, Carmelo Anthony will return to New York to have fluid drained from his injured right knee. "It started stiffening up," Anthony told reporters after the game. "There were some movements I couldn't make. Moving laterally, I didn't feel like I had any pop, any power. So I tried it in the second half, coming back after halftime and I couldn't move out there. I'm going to get it drained, get the fluid out, get to the bottom of it quickly so I can get back on the court." Carmelo appeared to injure his knee when he fell to the floor awkwardly in their win over the Cavaliers last week. He sat out the next three games and returned to action this week, but he didn't appear to be himself, going only 7-27 from the floor in their losses to the Warriors and the Nuggets. There's currently no timetable for his return.

As much as I really don't like either team and would hope for some kind of Double DQ if they met in the playoffs... I really want to see an epic Melo vs. BronBron series. Both guys stepping up and whooping each other for 48 minutes all 7 games.

Draining the knee is not a good sign, it's over for the Knicknats.
