Knicks looking at West?

04:23 PM ET 03.14 | With injuries piling up for the Knicks, the team is reportedly looking to add another player as they enter the stretch run of the season. And while their frontcourt is currently depleted, they are most interested in upgrading the backup point guard spot behind Raymond Felton. One name they've been eyeing closely is Delonte West, the mercurial combo guard that hasn't played for any NBA team this season after the Mavericks released him for "conduct detrimental to the team" in October. West, who averaged 10 points and three assists a game on 46 percent shooting last season, would give New York another guard capable of driving into the lane and creating a shot for himself or a teammate, as he has the quickness the duo of Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigioni lacks. Off-court concerns have plagued West throughout his NBA career, but the Knicks are hoping their veteran locker room can keep him in line.

Good pickup....practice for the psych med technician on the Knick staff. Not convinced on the basketball end of it though.

When the Knicks had major injuries last year, integrity and inspiration made them a team you wanted to watch. Watching them now is like going to a retirement village. A team full of egos.
