04:51 PM ET 03.14 | Florida Panthers forward Kris Versteeg will miss the remainder of the 2013 season because he will require season ending surgery on his knee, according to an announcement by the team on Thursday. Versteeg sustained a knee injury on Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon being hit, Versteeg hit the ice in pain and looked devastated by the play. It proved to be the end of his season. This marks another key injury to the Panthers as Stephen Weiss also will miss the remainder of the year due to injury. Ultimately, it???s been a rough year for the Panthers.
