06:54 PM ET 03.14 | Mario Manningham was set to make $3.6 million during the 2013 season, but thanks to an unfortunate knee injury last season, the wide receiver has agreed to a pay cut that reduces his salary to $1.8 million next year and ensures that he'll have a chance to bounce back with the team. CSNBayArea.com reports that Manningham about $1.25 million of his salary is guaranteed against another possibly injury. Manningham was starting to finally come into his own last year, especially once quarterback Colin Kaepernick took over and made him his No. 1 target in the passing game. But just as he was hitting his stride, Manningham tore his knee to shreds against the Seattle Seahawks near the end of the season and is currently coming off ACL and PCL reconstruction surgery.

He wants to play for the Super Bowl winner. That's worth a pay cut.
