Felton booed from pregame to final horn

08:07 AM ET 03.15 | Welcome back to the Rose Garden, Raymond Felton. With a chorus of boos echoing around the Rose Garden every time Felton touched the ball and the Blazers cruising to a convincing 105-90 victory over the Knicks' junior varsity team, basketball turned into a secondary form of entertainment Thursday night. ... An electric sellout crowd of 20,636 flashed gigantic posters with enlarged pictures of donuts and hamburgers and R-rated messages aimed at a player who last year challenged his detractors to visit his Pearl District apartment building if they had a problem with him. Felton was heavily booed during pregame introductions and every time he touched the ball, from the moment the Knicks won the opening tip to the final horn.

Its funny, Portland had more reaction to ray, who was there for a cup of coffee, and Orlando barely squeaked when.Dwight came back
I gotta respect Portland fans for that.

Brewer was that one player that is not a star, not too old and not a rookie. He was our glue guy that made up for Melo and Kidd's lack of size at the 4 and 2 spots. On offense he picked his spots well and kept the defense honest.
I thought Woodson was a genius for finding that lone chemistry of players that we had. Then Shumpert came back. Woodson made a dumb move by benching Brewer. Then the dumbness spread to the GM who then traded him for a freakin second round draft pick.
Nonsense!!!!
Numbers don't lie... Woody what's the record after axing Brewer and starting Brewer? GM whatever your name is... why did you trade Brewer? Those are the questions Dolan needs to pose to Woody... Now I see why Hawks fired him. As a person he's cool.. As a coach he's dumb, arrogant and lacks vision! Keep sucking that Shumpert ugly tatoo juice...

As a long standing Hawk fan, I'll attest to your last statements.
I've been saying this about Woody for a LONG time. Great man, great assistant coach, but not a top level head coach. Burns bridges with too many players, and doesn't have the foresight of a top pedigree coaching.
The issue I had with Woody signing by Knicks is that they were starting something positive after a LONG time. Had a chance to bring in a top head coach, they got the money and the brand name (unlike Hawks), having hopes of winning it all. And then settled for Woody. You reap what you sow.

I hear all your points-
and I would just add a couple of things-
1) on Atl- woody had JJ as his 'franchise' guy.
you can only go so far with that. I think he did the best he could and he got you guys to the playoffs- which is a feat in itself
2) he has had significant injuries to deal with since he's been here
including the playoff run when basically he had to start mike bibby
- compound that with an older than dirt roster
and again- I think he's done as good as he could with what he's had
So do I think woody is the be all end all ? no
has he made some questionable moves? sure
has he gotten ALOT out of the limited roster ? yes
when your 2 bet players are iso, ball-hogging, bad shot taking dudes that don't really listen unless they WANT to? Its a tough situation/
also what coach was available and wanted to come?
should we have called phil ?? ABSOLUTELY
other than that though? who?

PJ would have listened, just like he did with Lakers.
Top two players are playing ISO because THAT'S ALL Woody knows!!!
Look at Denver. They have half the skills that Knicks have, and see the ball movement. 75% shots from the paint. Karl can coach!!!!!
I have sympathy for Amare. But every team goes through injuries. Part and parcel of the season. Some a bit worse than others but you're not gonna get any sympathy for "injuries". Boston's lost half its roster!!!! Indy has played w/o Danny the entire season. No Rose. No Bynum. Hawks lost Lou, Teague. The list goes on and on.
I'm no analyst to name top available coaches I don't recall who was available or not. Woody couldn't have been your BEST choice. Did they call JVG? Doc may have been interested. Nate McMillan?

And on ATL making playoffs, we are doing it AGAIN with a horrible HC, AND no JJ, and with plenty of injuries (Lou, Pachulia, Teague).
Drew's taken ATL to exactly the same place they were when Woody was here. Woody def hurt player development. I keep saying, we made playoffs DESPITE Woody, not because of him.

I agree - good assessment.
Woody has done better than I thought he would ... e.g., going with the 3s since that was their best chance to do well.
He has done as well as anyone would have with this mix of players.

The Knicks should just roll on down to the 6 seed and meet up with Brooklyn at the 3 seed. That would be an epic first round match up for TV! Battle for NY!

Disagree-
that is what they are-
they have been iso guys their whole career and Melo got DA fired cause he didn't want to play in an actual 'system'
- I don't think woody is a good offensive coach- don't get me wrong.
and as for other coaches
