08:10 AM ET 03.15 | Meet the new power forward, same as the old power forward. Just 8 days after removing Kris Humphries completely from the rotation, PJ Carlesimo said after Thursday's practice that he plans to bring his $24 million man back "sooner rather than later." "We gotta get Hump in the lineup back soon," Carlesimo said. "His conditioning is good. He's done a lot of extra stuff with (trainer Jeremy Bettle). The thing he hasn't done is be on the floor in a while." Carlesimo had pulled Humphries from the rotation to give Mirza Teletovic a better look before the playoffs, but the Bosnian has struggled with his shot and defensively since becoming the first power forward off the bench.

The Nets management and PJ are showing that they lack a vision and a strategy. Goes to show how hard it is to run a team EVEN if you have money. Kudos to OKC, Spurs, Lakers for putting up very competitive teams year after year. Fans take them for granted but what those teams do is nothing short of remarkable.

As a longtime Nets fan (RIP Petro), this product is much better than our ~10 win a season product. They aren't close to making the Finals again like they did in back-to-back years under Lawrence Frank but I would prefer today's Nets over having Vince Carter chucking up 3 pointers. I'd still take these Nets over any form of Nets team with Dwight Howard on it. Yes, they are in salary cap hell with those contracts but they are still productive players, mostly.

Not knocking on the players at all. I love DWill (even though he's not 100% this year). Gerald is one of my favorite role players.
But how well have the players been used and jelled? Avery was a disaster. PJ is no better. Even signings were all questionable. Dis you really need Joe Johnson's contract (we sure didn't LOL)?
Just look at the chatter prior to the trade deadline, it seemed like Nets were associated with every other player walking the Earth for trades. That shows lacking a vision, lacking an identity as to who they want to be.
That being said, 4th or 5th seed in the east is still a very good outcome.

the nets have a solid team-
I thought that from day 1 of this encarnation/
I still think that teh nets could give Miami a scare-
they have bigs that can score and if dwill can get healthy, he can give miami fits. Also you have wallace who can 'slow down' lbj a little.

Humphries has to play with the same tenacity he did under Avery. As many others have said he needs to gt back in the lineup asap. Brooklyn is in a great position to overtake the knicks.
