08:26 AM ET 03.15 | If Flyers fans were looking to assign blame to the crumbling season in Philadelphia, Paul Holmgren suggests a look past coach Peter Laviolette. Is Laviolette on the hot seat? "I don't think so," Holmgren replied. "The coaches have done a good job. Right now, our team needs to play better. ... I don't like the way we're playing right now, but I don't necessarily blame that on the coach." Asked if the Flyers continue to lose games in the manner they have, would he revisit thinking of making a coaching change, Holmgren replied, "I haven't even thought about it. You guys keep asking these questions about the coach and it hasn't even entered my mind." Holmgren said the "competitive" aspect is entirely on the players.

A couple new faces all around may not hurt but no sense in makin rash descisions in an abbreviated season

I don't think Holmgren would be a rash decision...Laviolette would be though

Holmgren should be the one to go, but I'm not 100% sold on Lavi. The team has 0 discipline, gets too many 'too many men' penalties and botched line changes leading to goals. The coach needs to be somewhat responsible for some of this

Laviolette is a good coach, but if the GM keeps giving him crappy D-men and schizophrenic goalies, he isn't going to be able to do much with that.

I know you are not referring to Schenn, Luke.

Maybe if the GM didn't have a hard-on for retro Flyers (Gagne, Fedetenko, Knuble) Laviolette would have a better team. Great job trading away Bobrovsky, Paul. Boy he stinks in St. Louis.

P'raps Lord Irk and his boy Rotten Ronnie could make a comeback in PHA.

PHA has been known to take TOR castoffs before........

Gagne doesn't seem to be a bad add on he has contributed some but Bob may stink in St. Louis even though as it's been pointed out that he plays for Columbus either way

CROSBY SUCKS!

They might be the only thing more disappointing than the Rags this year.
