11:00 PM ET 03.15 | The Miami Dolphins are trying to surround quarterback Ryan Tannehill with as many weapons as they possibly can, which is why they've agreed to terms with former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brandon Gibson. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gibson and the Dolphins agreed to a three-year deal on Friday. Gibson had been linked to the Dolphins early on in free agency but he decided to see if he could drum up any interest elsewhere. The New York Jets bit on the interest in Gibson and were close to him according to reports. But rather than sign with the Jets, Gibson is joining what could end up being one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL if everything pans out correctly.

We will see about explosive, they have to prove it on the field, how many games did the elite Rams win with this guy?

They might not be elite but, at least the Dolphins are trying to get better. Gotta like that.

In 2012, Gibson had 51 receptions for 691 yards and five touchdowns for the Rams. Not bad for a third receiver.

Ross has had majority ownership since 2009 and since then they have not won more than 7 games. An unknown wide receiver and a few other over-priced free agents (Wallace, etc.) should be all that's needed to get to elite status.
