Don't come back to play against the Clips or the forseable future for Woodson. If you mess up your knees you won't be the same player again. Take time off to see specialists... get the root cause of the fluid build up and fix it before you play another game!

kid is a guard, woody has this dumb small ball idea fixated in his large cranium.

start 2 bigs, melo, felton and shump
kidd, smith, copeland, novak and camby- come off the bench
no more pable, white....and if novak doesn' t hit a shot within 45 seconds he is on the floor- he should be benched

Yes.. he gotta do what's best for him and his family. This Knicks coaching staff and management is probably the worst in the league. And if his knee don't hold up you can trust they will let him walk when his contract is up. Sometimes you gotta take a step back and see the big picture. He's reached a critical juncture of his career when it comes to health, age and productivity.

I'm not mad at Shump. Heck who would say no to a starting gig? It's totally on the coach. Secondly I am against any starting line up with Shump in it because
1. Shump is not an experienced player and it shows on both ends of the court. He shoots more bricks than a canon loaded with mortar so teams double up on Melo and get away with it.
2. On defense because he's guarding 3's they burn him all the time. With a porous perimeter the game becomes very very difficult for all the players especially the bigs.

And don't forget Melo is undersized at the 4 spot as well so opposing 4's go deep into our paint and with that much space their guards penetrate which then forces Melo to come out and close the gabs on these supersonic guards. That's where the whole team gets exposed and scored on easily.

Basketball is a five man game. If there's one weak link which Shumpert is the whole team pays for it. It's been very clear since he got back. I don't know why coach doesn't see it that way. Oh wait...his daughters love Shump because of the Georgia connection so we have to endure his poor play and lose a lot of games.

I guess that's not a bad way to run Dolan's business...

The way to go right now will be to BENCH SHUMPERT. He will be effective against opposing players.

There's some truth here.

At the same time Melo has worked hard with his teammates to get where they are at now. He probably wants to maintain their standings.
