12:48 PM ET 03.16 | The New England Patriots have reached an agreement with linebacker Niko Koutouvides on a one-year deal, according to Ian Rapoport. Koutouvides, a 31-year-old Connecticut native, has bounced around the league quite a bit since breaking in back in 2004 with the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent his first four seasons. Since then. Koutouvides has played for the Denver Broncos, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Patriots, where he has been a member of New England on and off since 2011. In his career, Koutouvides has only one sack and 164 tackles. Koutouvides is looked at as an experienced backup who can play special teams and provide leadership, even if he is not necessarily one of the league's most talented players.
