01:40 PM ET 03.16 | There are two teams with two first-round picks in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings and the St. Louis Rams. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, neither are expected to sign Giants restricted free agent Victor Cruz to an offer sheet. Cruz received a first-round tender offer from the Giants in restricted free agency, meaning a team would have to give the Giants their first-round pick in the 2013 draft if they signed him to a contract and the Giants did not match. The first-round tender will give Cruz $2.879 million for the 2013 season with the Giants.

I'd say it's worth it, considering the Vikes' receiving corps even after signing Jennings. Cruz is worth the $2.87 mil, and I think Green Bay is out of free agents to sign this year.

The Vikings just gave Jennings a huge contract and it's doubtful they'd sign Cruz. The Vikings need a quality QB much more than they need another good WR.

I agree. If they drafted someone who put up the numbers Victor Cruz has put up, then it's a huge pat on the back for drafting wisely. Why gamble on a draft pick when you can have Victor Cruz? If Christian Ponder really is coming around, the combination of Cruz and Jennings along with Adrian Peterson in the backfield gives the Vikings a very potent offense.

Respectfully disagree. Ponder's numbers were horrible because he had no one to throw to. Harvin was out half the season. Even Aikman could see that and reported it as such. Though I'd be remiss if I didn't throw the OC under the bus as well.

It's obvious that Ponder will never be more than an average QB and the addition of Cassell just brings in another average QB. Harvin was happy to go to a team with a good QB.

It's only obvious to those who didn't watch him play over the entire season, but instead read snippets. Hard to predict a QB after 25 games and only one true off-season. Especially in the era of the 24-hr news cycle where hyperbole sells. Aikman says you're wrong. Jaworski says you're wrong. You could be right. We'll see.

There's a reason nobody wants to give up a first round pick! Now if it was Eli?

He is if anyone makes him an offer. Look, if he will not accept what the Giants have offered this year, then he will not next year. The Giants will not match any offer, they will take that first rounder instead. The alternative is to lose him next year for nothing in UFA.
Steve Smith had 100 receptions before Cruz in that same spot with that offense.

Exactly. Bill doesn't care for 1st round picks, and the Pats will more than likely have one of the last picks in the draft. I'd give that up for Cruz all day long.

Bill likes the first round picks now that there is a rookie wage scale in place. Don't buy that Patriots/Cruz jersey just yet.

Harvin was not going to play for the Vikings this year and the team did not want him there anyway, so they suck in the Hawks for a first, seventh, and a third next year for him.

The Vikings do not need Cruz with two first round picks to get a slot receiver and deep threat in one with talented receivers from West Virginia, Tennessee, and California in the draft pool.
