04:16 PM ET 03.16 | When Brooklyn Nets big man Andray Blatche hits unrestricted free agency this summer, he doesn't plan on taking the most lucrative offer. His apparent reason? To stick it to his former team, the Wizards. Blatche is still set to receive paychecks from his old contract with Washington, which was waived using the amnesty clause, so he can't receive full value for the next two years of any contract he signs. Instead of taking as much money as possible this summer, he seems content to let Washington foot most of the bill. "If I get a lot (in my next contract), yeah, it's going to take pressure off the Wizards. But that's why I'm not going to do that," Blatche said when asked about his summer plans.

Holding a grudge will only cost you $$ in the end. Work out your best deal with the team you want to play for, and leave the Wizards behind.

Sure, why not? No matter his motivation, he will be helping his new team by signing for less money and still make the same cash from the Wiz, all the while making an opponent weaker by leaving the financial hit on them.

Exactly! And all the while, he's soothing his need o hold a grudge.

A 'Win-Win' for him, and a 'Lose-Lose' for the Wizards.

Plus.....for the next 2 years, he'll still be getting about $14 million.....so it's not like he'll end up in the poor house for taking a bit less over the next two years.
