10:32 AM ET 03.17 | It's amazing what an imagination and social media will do, as evidenced by a rumor that blew up Saturday in which Derrick Rose would make his season debut Monday against the Denver Nuggets at the United Center. Two Bulls sources squashed the rumor, saying it's business as usual for Rose as he recovers from surgery in May to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. That means a full-go in practice Sunday and a re-evaluation Monday. Then it's up to Rose to decide if he's ready to return.

Twitter just exploded with the news from this New York Times story:

Time Warner said it would move ahead on its own with a plan to make Time Inc. an independent company.
Time Warner was considering selling Time Inc, the magazine arm, to Meredith Corporation, but they wanted to keep four of their major, iconic magazines (Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and Money) around to capitalize on the brands. Now, though, they're just ditching all of the magazines:

Time Warner had originally planned to keep those titles, which executives believed have news gathering synergies with its CNN channel. But the thinking on the four magazines, which have faced industry-wide downturns in revenue, has changed, the people said. Time Warner executives, who had initially approached Meredith about a partnership, walked away, believing that it was a better option to spin off all 21 magazines without a partner.
This is not good news for the magazine industry.

This means the death of this website and sports illustrated as we know it. Without time Warner's money to keep the afloat they are doomed. Also CNN decision to use bleacher report for their sports content could be final nail in coffin.

Expectations are way too high for Rose. The speed and power that make up his game wont be there until he has a few games under his belt. Bulls should let him come back against marginal competition. Playoff seeding is still at stake.

Time Warner is selling Time Inc., so the magazine lives on, just with a different owner. Likewise the website.

Rose definitely should not come back against the Nuggets. They are too athletic for the Bulls and should run them out of the house.

There will be little interest in magazines that haven't turned a profit in 10 years.

It would be foolish for Rose to play a talented team like the Nuggets. Let him start with easier teams like the Hornets and Knicks first.

It seems like he could at least come in as a backup for a few minutes each half. He has the doctors clearance and he won't get confidence until he plays on it. Just Play, Bro!

Let him practice in the D-League to gain some confidence.
