11:35 AM ET 03.17 | The Ravens hope to meet with former Denver Broncos star defensive end Elvis Dumervil following the league meetings this week, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. No contract negotiations have begun, but the Ravens have serious interest in Dumervil, per a source. Other NFL teams that have expressed interest in Dumervil include the New England Patriots and the Tennessee Titans. Dumervil would play outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme.

I guess the Broncos arn't interested

The Broncos only wanted him if they could get a Wal-Mart deal. He'll sign a better deal elsewhere.

Would be ironic if the Pats went after him.

I think they are going for him as part of getting back at Denver for the Welker affair.

An interesting side note to this debacle: Dumervil fired his agent yesterday. That might be a hint as to who torpedoed getting the deal done with the Broncos.

They need a pass rusher. I can see it. Note: When you change agents there is a mandatory five-day waiting period after a player switches agents.

I think Magid waived the waiting period so Dumervil is free to sign immediately. He may be too spendy for the Ravens though.

If they couldn't pay Reed or Boldin and the long list of others that have bolted, where are they going to find the money to pay Dumervil ? I would love to see someone other than Denver scoop him up.

Can someone explain why Cincinnati has been so quiet in free agency. They had the most cap room. Maybe the Bengals will sneak in and make him an offer he can't refuse.

Why are they quiet? Two words. Mike Brown.

It's always easy to bash MB, but the Bengals probably win the AFC North this coming season.

True. I mean he's just an unrestricted free agent, with 63.5 career sacks, a boat load of forced fumbles, is only 29, and seems mad as hell. You're right. Who cares.

Somebody already hit it by saying Mike Brown, but I have to admit, the Bengals aren't to shabby as they sit. Even without FA upgrades, they are the team to beat in their division. I could say RB, but they're always a dime a dozen in the draft. If they got rid of their God-awful uniforms, I could root for them openly.

The NFL has turned into a rent-a-player league.

Greg Jennings to the Vikings
Wes Welker to the Broncos
Steven Jackson to the Falcons
Percy Harvin to Seattle
Dashon Goldson to Tampa Bay
Charles Woodson to ???
Jake Long to ???
James Harrison to ???
Ed Reed to ???

The list goes on and on so yeah who cares?
