11:39 AM ET 03.17 | Bryan Hoch of MLB.com tweeted what could be bad news for the Yankees: Mark Teixeira is in Tampa. He said his injury was to the tendon sheath and raised the possibility he could miss all of May.

Could be longer than that. Saw a report on MLB Network, with a doctor who said it's only a 50% chance that the tendon sheath will heal without surgery. Yankees are crossing their fingers and hoping the rest will heal him enough to make it through the season.
