Anthony, Chandler probably won't play Sunday

12:57 PM ET 03.17 | The Knicks might be in for another whipping, as Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler are questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers. However, that seems to be putting it nicely.

The Knicks have been dodgy with injury updates of late, putting Anthony in games where he seemed hurt and calling Chandler probable for a game Thursday night against the Blazers that he wouldn't play in. Although the team listed the pair as questionable, various newspaper reporters indicate Chandler nor Anthony fully practiced with the team on Saturday.

The Knicks have really struggled of late. They've lost three in a row to West Coast squads, and all by pretty decisive margins: 31 points against the Warriors, 23 points against the Nuggets, 15 against the Trail Blazers.

My question is, where do the Knicks go from here? I mean for all administrative purpose, this was "the season". No more talk about "rebuilding", or not having good players etc etc. Basically "no excuses" season. Amare on the books for 3 more, 'Melo 3 more, Chandler 2 more, so they have basically locked up the "core team".
Happy with a 3-4 seed and a first round outing, Knickers?

The "core" was hit with the injury bug... And Mellow is what he is and nothing more.

ESPN,

They are a good team. They just need to be healthy come playoff time. They won't be a first round out. You talk as if they already are this year.

They are all gonna get magically healthy for playoffs and stay that way throughout grueling playoff schedule! And if pigs could fly!

After starting out the season 18-5, the Knicks have gone 20-20. Playing .500 ball over most of the season is not going to take them far.

Now 20-21 after their stellar 18-5 start. The Knicks (and their fans) are fortunate that both the Celtics and Bulls are without their best players.

As a 5th or 6th seed at the beginning of the playoffs they would have had NO home court advantage during the playoffs.

They will most likely be a one and done team.
