Thibodeau: Rose 'still has a ways to go'

12:09 AM ET 03.18 | With rumors flying around over the weekend that Bulls superstar Derrick Rose was set to make his season debut on Monday against the Nuggets, head coach Tom Thibodeau did his best to squash them. Following Sunday's practice in which Rose was a full participant, Thibodeau said little has changed with the status of his star. "Nothing has changed," Thibodeau said of his MVP point guard, who did go through a full practice at the Berto Center. "He keeps improving, he still has a ways to go." Rose has been rehabbing diligently from ACL surgery in May, and the news that Comcast Sports Net had moved Monday's game from CSN-plus to their main station had some believing Rose's return was coming. If Rose does not play against the Nuggets, the Bulls' next game is at home against the Blazers on Thursday.

I don't understands the rush. Rose would have a very small amount of time to beg back in sync with the Offense before the playoffs. I'm not sure that right now the Bulls are a better team with Rose on the court. When he's fully healthy and in game shape, then yes, of course the Bulls are better with him. But right now and even for several weeks after he actually returns I just don't see the Bulls necessarily being any better, which makes the risk factor the determining component in this decision, in my opinion.

Might as well wait til 2012-14 to bring Rose back. Just my opinion.

Even with a winning record, they're almost last in the league in team offense.

With a shoot first, low efficiency scorer (Robertson) and a rookie (Teague) manning the point......of course they'd be a better team with Rose being back.

No dude, Rose has lost the respect of his team mates, period!

You don't EVER become a leader without setting an example. No one is "rushing" him. The medics cleared him to play. So what's giving? He says he isn't "comfortable" yet. No one is asking him to be a brides maid or do a ballet.
Give 20-productive minutes for 8pts 5 assists and help the team!!!! He's a paid freaking professional.

Ya know what man? I don't care if he comes back or doesn't. Only he knows how he feels. I respect his decision whatever the decision is, but all of this back and forth, maybe I will, maybe I won't jazz is unneccessarily dramatic. Just make up your mind, and be done with it.

And as far as his teammates go, I don't know if they've lost respect for him. It's possible that you may be right. But if they have its probably more to do with this ongoing cliffhanger he's created for himself than anything else. The guy is killing the Bulls with this nonsense.

Are you blaming Rose because the media keeps tossing this topic under your nose?
