KG barely 50-50 for Monday showdown

08:10 AM ET 03.18 | To some degree, Boston ending Miami's 22-game winning streak Monday would merely be academic. Because the NBA isn't the NCAA, they won't get a better seeding in a region closer to home by impressing a roomful of selectors. But for a team that's still building its self-image after the loss of its All-Star point guard, a win over the Heat could make the Celtics look better in the mirror. Even better still if they can accomplish the task without Kevin Garnett (strained adductor), who did not practice yesterday after missing Saturday's win over Charlotte. "We don't know what he's going to do [Monday]," coach Doc Rivers said of Garnett's availability. "My guess is 50-50 at best."

Boston ended the Rockets 22 games streak. Time to do the same with the Heat.

Deep down inside you know you want to root for Boston.

Might as well rest KG. This one is a losing proposition anyway.

Good to see a fan supporting his team despite knowing before the game starts that you are beat.

With Rondo and KG, they might be a 1 game winner but not a 7 game series.

Without both, even for 1 game = no chance.

Miami is playing in a different zip code.

Boston should just mail this one in.

Word.

KG will eat some Honey Nut Cheerios and be ready to play.

Boston should be extremely motivated to beating the Heat but I have a feeling that the Heat shall prevail.

KG might want to sit it out. He needs to be 100% for them in the playoffs

The Heat are due for an injury or 2.
