08:23 AM ET 03.18 | The clock is ticking for the NHL's GMs, but it doesn't appear as if Garth Snow has an appetite to deal his assets. There are nine games and 17 days until the NHL's trade deadline, so plenty can change for the Islanders between now and then. But it doesn't appear the Islanders' plans for Mark Streit, Lubomir Visnovsky and Evgeni Nabokov, three veterans who are on expiring contracts, will change between now and April 3. The Islanders and Streit began preliminary extension talks last month. Talks will begin shortly with Visnovsky and Nabokov, according to sources. ... "I'm enjoying it, I want to continue to play," the 37-year-old [Nabokov] said. "And I feel the same as last year -- I like the guys here, I like the direction of the team."

Nabokov...'i fought coming here tooth and nail...but if they will pay me with gym bags full of rubles, then I will continue to be the leaky sieve at the back end of a mediocre team'.

Trade all 3 to TOR for Bozak and Scrivens.

Throw in Tavares and we will give you Kessel.

He would be closer to Fire Island.

This hasn't worried me. Winnipeg's hot, and we lost to the two best teams in the East.

If it continues vs. TB and BUF, then i'll sweat. I don't think anybody with a clue really thinks Toronto is a top 5 team right now. I'd love to finish 6th, but at this point just getting some points would be nice.

If these 3 guys have Pay Day's coming - the money ain't coming from the Isles... We know that

You can only hide that cruel streak for so long, eh? BTW, no they don't. Ours for example haven't looked good against the Rangers this year. It's been about only time I've seen Torts happy.

I did say "most." :-)

Visnovsky , Streit, & Nabokov....sounds like a foreign law firm.
