03:49 PM ET 03.18 | The Columbus Blue Jackets are expected to begin negotiations with a select group of their restricted free agents over the course of this week. That group will include goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, as well as forwards Artem Anisimov, Matt Calvert and Cam Atkinson. For Bobrovsky, this is probably encouraging news given his dominance over the last two weeks. The 24-year-old goaltender has been named an NHL Star of the Week in each of the last two weeks and has compiled a 6-0-2 record with a 0.74 goals against average, .976 save percentage and two shutouts.

having a true number 1 is the first step towards respectability. They are trying to get a blue line together. Perhaps in a move or 2 they'll be middle of the road.

Why can't the Flyers ever get a good goalie like Bobrovsky?

yet another indication that they cannot evaluate talent in nets. At some point you think they'd hire at least 1 guy that has a proven eye for goaltenders.

considering that all they gave up was a 2nd rounder and some 4ths...this might actually be the only time in franchise history that the Jackets can say that they fleeced someone!

They've been on a little bit of a streak towards respectability lately.

The only reason you're cheering is 'cause you know they're not going to be in your Division next year! But ..... you'll still have to deal with the Red Wings! ;-)

What Smithers don't know is those Russki players don't like overtime i.e. playoffs
