08:16 AM ET 03.19 | On the day spring practice opened in Happy Valley, the question was already being asked of Penn State coach Bill O'Brien: Who's going to be the quarterback? Of course, at this time, the answer to the quarterback question isn't clear. Sophomore-to-be Steven Bench and junior college transfer Tyler Ferguson are the two candidates who are competing this spring. "They're both working at it," O'Brien said. ... "They both can throw the football and they can throw the ball accurately." But even if one of them wins the spring competition, he will have to contend with another quarterback: Christian Hackenberg. O'Brien said the true freshman will definitely be in the mix when he arrives for fall practice.

I would put serious money that ol' Johnny Football falls flat on his face this season given how he's dealt with his fame thus far

should be interesting to see...does he do something to get in trouble? will the teams he beat find ways to contain him that will frustrate him into bad decisions? I'm ready for football to start already...

We have a local gastro-intestinal doctor named Dr. Butts. However, his first name is NOT Seymour.

If they decide to platoon the two guys, they could call their qb "Steven Tyler".
