04:48 PM ET 03.19 | New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Broudeur is expected to backup goaltender Johan Hedberg on Tuesday night, according to multiple reports. Brodeur has missed 11-games due to a back injury he suffered during warmups prior to a game against the Washington Capitals in February. However, he has gone 12 consecutive games without a start. During the course of his injury, the Devils have compiled a 3-6-2 record over the 11 games. According to Brodeur on Monday, he hopes to return to action on Thursday night. The fact that he feels well enough to act as backup on Tuesday is an encouraging sign that he will return.
