04:50 PM ET 03.19 | Washington Capitals forward Brooks Laich is expected to be available for the team???s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night. Laich has missed the entirety of the 2013 season due to a groin injury. The injury was sustained in November while he was playing in Switzerland during the NHL lockout. Given that his injury occurred overseas, Laich has been suspended without pay until he is able to return. During morning skate on Tuesday, he was seen taking line rushes with the fourth pairing. He is expected to be moved up onto the first line at some point. Head coach Adam Oates expressed a desire to ease him back into the lineup.

Good to see Brooks back in town. He's a stand-up guy, good leadership, works hard and doesn't make excuses.
