Devin Hester is strictly a return specialist for Chicago

01:08 PM ET 03.20 | Three-time Pro Bowl return specialist Devin Hester of the Chicago Bears has returned more punts for touchdowns than any player in NFL history and he is eighth all-time in kickoff returns for touchdowns. However, the dangerous returner has been ineffective throughout the wide receiver experiment designed to take advantage of his ability in space. On Wednesday, new Bears head coach Marc Trestman told Dan Pompei of The Chicago Tribune that the experiment on offense is over for Hester and that he will participate strictly on special teams. While that may sound like disappointing news for Hester, it's something that he apparently welcomes and something that Trestman said Hester "feels really good about."

That's a way of keeping his Salary as low as the Bears can keep it, when the seaon starts they will try to talk him into other responsibilities!

Is strictly a return specialist? Them days may be creeping behind him. We'll see what he does in 2013.

It would seem so, but the Bears were intent on converting him to their #1 WR just a few seasons ago. In my mind that was just Jerry Angelo trying to cheap his way out of acquiring a legit WR.
