Jeff Gordon to sport old color scheme

I approve, but is that all that's going on?

WOW......Did T&R actually hire someone to write NASCAR Threads this has to be a record of new threads in less then a week.

New PAINT SCHEME who cares it still Gordon.

Paint it CROMAX PRO Pink....it would be a very good color for the guy.

Have to agree, a new paint scheme is not worthy of a story, who really cares?

Either he starts driving like he used to drive or it has become apparent his skills are no longer what they were. With all his back problems I wonder what motivates him to keep driving, he has made over $75 mil in purse receipts alone in the last 20 years not to mention salary, he can't really need anymore money, can he?

He should take a look at Richard Petty, and walk away while he's at least "near" the top.

None of them do. Terry LaBonte still gets to be a hired gun to get whatever car into a field with his provisional. Bobby LaBonte still runs around mid-pack in an underfunded team. The only won capable of winning at his age is Mark Martin. Jeff still has some years left in him before he becomes a rolling chicane.......

It has got to be a terrible thing to be a nothing, that sits around his borrowed computer, and criticize other people. I think they call it a wannabe. Oh whinner is spelled whinnier.

I don't care what color the car is as long as I see it in victory lane.

I don't think Jeff is going to retire until he hits 100 victorys...I just hope he includes at least ONE more championship too.

I think Jeff still has great finishes and wins in him......but a Championship, NO.......the reason for that is because he has very strong competition and I don't think he can beat them overall.

As for the question why does he need the money........without going into all his business ventures, I can only say that if I was in his shoes, I would definitely keep driving for a few more years......earn it while you can.......but I do agree that he should walk away before he becomes a Labonte.......(in a few more years).

I never used to like Jeff......won't say what I thought of him back then as it is redundant today......but since he hooked up with Ingrid and had kids, he changed in a good way......I became a fan then.

I agree that paint schemes are not a big whoop of a story......BUT....this one is about a long time sponsor and a repeat Champ....so it has a bit more whoop than usual.....LOL

Not a knock against Gordon, he has had a great career but it's time to admit that his best days are behind him.
