03:16 PM ET 03.20 | The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed defenseman Mike Komisarek on waivers. Komisarek spent all but four games this season watching the team from the press box. I guess he got sick of it because he waived his no-movement clause. If he is claimed by another team he will report to them but if not, he will report to the Leafs AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. Most believe that he will not be claimed but anything can happen. Komisarek's time playing for the Leafs is likely up and he will likely remain in the AHL until his contract is up if he is not claimed or traded. The Leafs have so many other defensmen that are more talented and deserve spots on the team, the truth is they don't need Komisarek.

to think that this guy thought he was actually trade-able. Now he can go somewhere and hold up a will play for food sign.
